Changes to Momentum’s complementary products for 2027
Momentum Medical Scheme members may choose to make use of additional products available from Momentum Group Limited and its subsidiaries as well as Momentum Multiply (herein collectively referred to as Momentum). Momentum is not a medical scheme and is a separate entity to Momentum Medical Scheme. Momentum products are not medical scheme benefits. You may be a member of Momentum Medical Scheme without taking any of the products offered by Momentum.
Momentum HealthSaver
HealthSaver remains largely unchanged for 2027, consisting of Savings (accumulated through ad hoc or regular contributions) and Rewards (accumulated through any cashbacks, HealthReturns, HealthSaver booster, Savings booster or Wellness Booster earned).
Cashbacks can be earned by interacting with a range of Multiply partners, while HealthReturns are earned by being active and adhering to prescribed care. Savings booster is earned on positive HealthSaver Savings balances and Wellness Booster is paid by Multiply to members of new Super Groups joining Momentum Medical Scheme.
You can use Savings to pay both Healthcare Partners like pharmacies, and Lifestyle Partners like clothing or gym memberships, whereas Rewards can exclusively be spent at Lifestyle Partners.
Transacting is as simple as using Scan to Pay via the Momentum App, or presenting the physical HealthSaver card at vendors that do not offer compatible Scan to Pay capabilities.

Know your health
Understanding your health is where your journey begins. It’s the first step towards improvement and also what unlocks your rewards.
- You can do your digital health and fitness assessment for free on the Momentum App under the Multiply section. Alternatively, you can do your in-person assessments at a Dis-Chem, Clicks or health professional. In 2027, the in-person fitness assessment will cost R550 and the online fitness assessment, R350. We’ve also extended the validity of the online fitness assessment to 12 months.
Improve your health
You have access to a range of tools and programmes to help you look after your physical and mental wellbeing.
- You have even more ways to earn Active Dayz in 2027. We’ve added a 90-minute low-intensity workout option, perfect for activities like cycling. You can complete up to two low-intensity workouts a week that count towards your Weekly Wins.
- In 2027, Multiply Engage members who achieve their Weekly Wins stand a chance to be one of ten lucky monthly winners to score R500 to spend on the Multiply Mall. You earn an entry for every Weekly Win and for each boosted Weekly Win.
- We’re always looking for new ways to reward you for staying consistent with your Weekly and Monthly Wins. Spur is our latest Wins voucher partner.
- In 2027, you have access to a personalised wellness combo at a discounted rate. This once-off investment into your future health gives you a personalised blueprint to help you make informed health decisions. It includes a DNA test from DNAlysis, a consultation with Danni Health to unpack the results, and personalised supplements from Tailorblend for only R5 000 (normal retail price is R7 300).
- Eat better. Feel better. Our eat challenges are 21-day programmes designed to transform the way your think about food and nutrition, with practical tips and weekly meal plans to help build healthier, sustainable habits. Currently, Multiply members pay only R350, reduced from R699. These challenges are already available and will continue in 2027.
- Better sleep starts here. Launching in 2027, we’re adding the Sleep Health Centre as a partner to give you expert guidance on building healthier sleep habits, improving sleep hygiene, and waking up with more energy and focus. You’ll get 50% off sleep challenges and 20% off sleep consultations.
Get rewarded
You get rewarded from day one. No waiting periods. No chasing points. Just great rewards, plus more partners and bigger spend limits in 2027.
- Multiply Inspire and Engage members can enjoy 3% off at Woolworths and Shoprite/Checkers. You need a Healthy Heart Score to qualify for this benefit.
- We have 6 international airlines that you can choose from for your next trip: South African Airways, Emirates, Air Mauritius, KLM, British Airways and Qatar.
- Healthy eating just got more rewarding. We Are Food, Dinnerbox, Plated Convenience and Oasis now have their own spend limits of R1 700 for the main member, R800 for each adult dependant and R250 for each child dependant. Discounts at these partners have increased to up to 40% off.
- Discounts for Garmin, Amazfit and Suunto have increased to up to 50% off.
- Movie nights are sorted. Nu Metro discounts have increased to up to 80% off for Multiply Inspire Plus and Engage Plus members, creating more opportunities for family time, date nights or a little well-deserved me-time.
- You can spend more and save more at Clicks. The spend limit has increased to R1 700 for the main member, R800 for each adult dependant and R250 for each child dependant.
- New partners joining the rewards line-up include The North Face (up to 30% off), Vivobarefoot (up to 30% off), Tshepo Jeans (up to 25% off) and GalXBoy (up to 30% off).
- You can also enjoy discounts from recently added partners including Hi-Tec (up to 40% off), MoVee Performance (up to 50% off), Ergonomics Direct (20% off) and Zorora Sofas (25% off).
- You don’t have to choose between Clicks and Dis-Chem as a rewards partner in 2027, so you can earn rewards from both Multiply partners.
The monthly HealthReturns you can earn for a Healthy Heart Score and fitness assessment is up to R250 per adult per month on Multiply Inspire Plus. Multiply Inspire and Engage members need a Healthy Heart Score to start earning partner rewards, while Multiply Inspire Plus and Engage Plus members start on rewards level 1 and improve their rewards level with a Healthy Heart Score. The amount of HealthReturns you can earn as a Multiply Inspire member is capped at 10% of your medical aid contribution and 40% as a Multiply Inspire Plus member.
Momentum GapCover
The benefit for shortfalls in medical practitioner costs covers the shortfall between what the medical practitioner charged and the medical scheme paid, at 300% of the Scheme Rate. Momentum GapCover Supreme also covers you for certain medical procedures performed out of hospital, in day clinics or other registered facilities.
In total, you would therefore be covered at the following rates, depending on your option:
- Ingwe, Custom and Evolve Options: 400% of the Momentum Medical Scheme Rate
- Incentive and Extender Options: 500% of the Momentum Medical Scheme Rate
- Summit Option: 600% of the Momentum Medical Scheme Rate
For 2027, the overall annual limit increases from R219 800 to R230 800 per insured person per year. Certain benefit limits have also been increased.
On GapCover Supreme, If you visit a casualty ward within 24 hours of an emergency caused by an accident, we will pay up to R25 200 of all costs incurred. For a child aged eight years or younger, we will cover up to R5 200 per year in an emergency, (regardless of whether it was an accident). The cost of these three visits would count toward the R25 200 annual limit. The benefit for shortfalls in allied professional costs also increased from R2 500 to R2 600 per policy per year.
On GapCover Primary, If you visit a casualty ward within 24 hours of an emergency caused by an accident, we will pay up to R12 600 of all costs incurred. For a child aged eight years or younger, we will cover up to R3 000 per year in an emergency, (regardless of whether it was an accident). The cost of these visits would count toward the R12 600 annual limit.
